Lafayette police seek man in July 18 shooting during failed drug deal _lowres

The Lafayette Police Department is trying to track down an attempted-murder suspect accused of shooting the victim after demanding money during a failed drug deal.

Detectives have issued an arrest warrant for Harold Onezine, 28, for attempted first-degree murder. Police gave this account of the shooting:

Onezine met with the victim on July 18 to sell drugs in the 100 block of Windmill Lane. During that meeting, Onezine produced a handgun and demanded money from the victim. When the victim refused, Onezine shot the victim once in the leg.

Onezine stole $120 from the victim and fled the scene. The victim was transported to a hospital and treated for his injury.
