BREAUX BRIDGE — A Breaux Bridge man arrested Thursday is accused of stabbing a man during what police have termed a gang fight.
Tommy Junior Celestine, 22, was booked on a count of attempted second-degree murder in the fight, during which at least one person was stabbed multiple times, Breaux Bridge Police said in a news release. The fight was one of a number of large fights around Breaux Bridge on March 19.
Four other people from Breaux Bridge were arrested in connection with the fights.
Demetrius Jackson, 24, Brisen Keith Jones, 23, and Antonio Potier, 18, were each booked on one count of simple battery, while 19-year-old Tradell Demouchet was booked on a count of aggravated battery, police said.
Authorities have not disclosed the circumstances behind the brawls. The investigation remains ongoing.
