A Eunice man has pleaded guilty to the 2011 slaying of his uncle and the December 2015 murder of another man.

Phillip Lafleur pleaded guilty Tuesday to manslaughter in the death of his uncle, Dale Lafleur, and pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the slaying of Akeem Ceaser, who died in December 2015.

Lafleur was sentenced to 40 years in his uncle's death and to life without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence in Ceaser's death, court records show.
