Authorities are arranging transportation from Colorado to Lafayette for Miles Guidry, who is accused of murdering his girlfriend in Duson almost two weeks ago.
Miles Guidry, 27, of Lafayette, waived an extradition hearing scheduled for Wednesday morning in Centennial, Colorado, where he’s been held in the Arapahoe County jail since his Monday arrest, according to the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Police officers from Glendale, Colorado, on Monday morning found Guidry sleeping in his car and arrested him on the Louisiana-issued murder warrant in the death of Claire Walley, 26.
Walley was found dead at her home in the 400 block of Lagneaux Road on Nov. 29. Although few details are available on the circumstances surrounding Walley’s death, the Lafayette Parish Coroner’s Office has labeled her death as a homicide.
