Authorities are searching for a New Iberia man wanted on active warrants in numerous alleged domestic abuse cases, the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office said.
Jermaine Joseph Youman, 30, is most recently accused of counts of domestic abuse battery, domestic abuse child endangerment and false imprisonment in a Monday incident involving the mother of his child, said Maj. Ryan Turner, Sheriff’s Office spokesman.
Youman is also wanted on two counts of domestic abuse by strangulation, two more counts of domestic abuse child endangerment, a count of simple criminal damage to property and a count of resisting an officer in four incidents from 2014, Turner said.
He’s also accused of failing to appear in court twice in 2014 for failing to make child support payments, Turner said.
Youman is described as black man standing 5-feet-11-inches tall and weighing 145 pounds who is likely in Iberia Parish and may be armed, Turner said.
Deputies are encouraging anyone with information on Youman’s whereabouts to contact the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office at (337) 369-3711.
