Two Lafayette men were hospitalized with moderate injuries Tuesday afternoon after someone shot them three times each in the 100 block of North Loop.

Police responded to the scene about 3:50 p.m. and found the two men, ages 20 and 27, suffering from bullet wounds, according to a Lafayette Police Department news release.

The men were involved in “a disturbance” with the shooter, who then opened fire and fled, police said. The shooter had not been identified on Tuesday afternoon.
