Lafayette attorney Jade R. Blasingame, 39, has been accused of felony theft in a gaming investigation, according to a Louisiana State Police news release issued Monday night.

In December 2015, Blasingame wrote checks to several gaming venues and then stopping payment on six checks totaling over $450,000, Master Trooper Daniel “Scott” Moreau said in the news release.

Blasingame was arrested Thursday at the Avoyelles Parish District Attorney’s Office and booked in the Avoyelles Parish Detention Center.

She has since bonded out of jail, Moreau said.
