Police on Wednesday named an Opelousas man as a suspect in a June 7 shooting outside an Opelousas bar when a bar employee was shot at multiple times.

Ignatius Eaglin, 53, whose last known address was 408 Eaglin Lane, is wanted on a count of attempted first-degree murder in the shooting at The Brass Rail in the 100 block of Landry Street, Opelousas Police said.

Eaglin is accused of firing six to seven shots at the employee, who was walking out of the back of the bar around 2:30 a.m. that Sunday, KATC-TV reported.

Police did not say whether the employee was injured.
