LAFAYETTE — A 47-year-old man wanted in a June 15 bank robbery in Kentucky was arrested Wednesday afternoon outside of a restaurant in Lafayette, according to a news release.
The U.S. Marshals Violent Offender Task Force in Lafayette arrested Ronny Stutes just before 1 p.m. at a restaurant near Interstate 10 and the Evangeline Thruway, the release said.
The task force received information on Monday that Stutes may be in the Lafayette area, the release said.
Stutes was wanted by the Fort Wright (Ky.) Police Department on a warrant for second-degree robbery, the release said.
Stutes also was wanted on a parole violation out of Kentucky, the release said.
The Lafayette Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit assisted in his arrest, the release said.
