Narcotics agents seized methamphetamine and cocaine they said have a street value of $14,000 from an Arnaudville home late Wednesday and arrested a Lafayette man accused of harboring the drugs.

Authorities also seized a Mercedes-Benz owned by Darryl Savoie, 51, who was booked into the St. Martin Parish jail on counts of possession with intent to distribute cocaine and more than 28 grams of meth, both of which are Schedule II substances, according to a news release from the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s office.

Arresting agents who seized the drugs and property were investigating a report of suspected drug activity at the home in the 1500 block of Coteau Rodaire Road, the release stated.

Savoie, of 311 Belle Grove Blvd. in Lafayette, remained in the St. Martin Parish jail on Thursday afternoon in lieu of a $26,000 bail amount.
