Centanni receives endorsements

Lafayette Parish School Board candidate Justin Centanni received endorsements Friday from Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education member Holly Boffy and area legislators.

Centanni is a candidate for District 6 on the board and faces challenger Kathleen Schott Espinoza.

Boffy credited Centanni’s financial background as an asset for the School Board. Centanni is a database analyst for IberiaBank, where he holds an assistant vice president position.

“He brings financial expertise and professionalism to the table, and that coupled with his perspective as an engaged parent will guide his work as a School Board member. I know he will make students and the teachers who educate them his top priority,” Boffy said in a news release.

Centanni also has received the support of Lafayette legislators, Reps. Nancy Landry and Stuart Bishop, the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce’s Empower PAC and the Realtor Association of Acadiana political action committee.
