Students interested in attending the U.S. Naval Academy can learn more about the admissions process during a forum planned Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Acadiana Center for the Arts, 101 W. Vermilion St.

Admissions staff will be on hand to answer questions about the Naval Academy, which offers 24 academic major programs. As students work toward a degree, they also train to become officers in the Navy or U.S. Marine Corps and upon graduation are commissioned as either an ensign in the Navy or a second lieutenant in the Marine Corps. Graduates also serve in the Navy or Marine Corps for at least five years.

Check-in for the forum begins at 8:30 a.m. Participants are encouraged to RSVP at www.usna.edu/Admissions/Events/Forums/.
