Acadiana-area high schools that would like to include a list of their graduates in The Acadiana Advocate may submit the following information in a Microsoft Word-compatible attachment or copied into the body of an email:

A list of all graduates with first names listed first.

Information on valedictorians, salutatorians and any other honor graduates.

The time, date and location of the commencement ceremony. If there is a guest speaker, you may include the name and title of the speaker.

Please do not duplicate names in lists nor send photos. The Advocate will not be running any photos with these lists and cannot guarantee their return if sent.

Willow Charter holds parents meeting

Willow Charter Academy will hold an enrollment information meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday for interested parents to learn more about the school.

At the meeting, parents will learn about the school’s Moral Focus curriculum, hear from school leaders and have a chance to ask questions and tour the school.

The school, located at 1818 Evangeline Thruway, is operated by National Heritage Academies, a Michigan-based charter school management company with local oversight by a board that includes at least two members from Lafayette.

The school began in August 2014 for grades kindergarten through fifth, and in August will add sixth-grade classes.

In subsequent years, grades seven and eigh will be added.

For information, visit the school’s website: willowcharter academy.org.
