Robideaux has largest campaign war chest in Lafayette city-parish president race, latest filings show, but Stanley raised more in 2015 _lowres

Lafayette city-parish president candidates Joel Robideaux and Dee Stanley will field questions from local journalists during a Monday evening debate organized by the Acadiana Press Club.

The 6 p.m. debate will be held at South Louisiana Community College’s Devalcourt Auditorium, 320 Devalcourt St.

A panel of journalists representative of The Acadiana Advocate, KATC-TV3, The Daily Advertiser and The Independent will pose questions to the candidates during the debate moderated by Ian Auzenne, Acadiana Press Club vice president.

Questions will not be provided to candidates prior to the debate.

The debate is open to the public, and food from The Bus Stop Food Truck will be available for purchase. Attendees are encouraged to arrive before 5:45 p.m. to buy dinner before the forum begins.

Membership in the Acadiana Press Club is open to journalists, media professionals, public relations professionals, public information officers, communication professors and students, retired journalists, civic and political leaders, and the general public.
