University of Louisiana at Lafayette senior Robin Roy reigns over homecoming week festivities that lead to the Ragin’ Cajuns 4 p.m. game Saturday against the New Mexico State Aggies at Cajun Field.

Roy, of Lafayette, is a senior majoring in mechanical engineering. She and her court will be featured during Saturday’s game and the homecoming parade, which begins at 10 a.m.

Events scheduled throughout the week provide opportunities for students, alumni and the community to get involved in this year’s theme: “Best Homecoming Week Ever.”

  • 5:30 p.m.: Paint the Town Red at Downtown Alive! for UL-Lafayette homecoming pep rally at Parc International
  • 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.: Ragin’ Cajuns Lettermen Club Hall of Fame reception at the Alumni Center
  • Saturday, Nov. 2
  • 8 A.M.: Ragin’ One Mile Fun Run and the Ragin’ Road Race at the Alumni Center

9 a.m. to noon: Open house at the Alumni Center

10 a.m. to noon: Homecoming parade with viewing at the Alumni Center

Noon to 4 p.m.: Home Economics alumni chapter 75th anniversary celebration, at the University Research Park near the Picard Center

Noon: Red Jackets reunion at the Alumni Center

1 p.m.: Alumni Association tailgating party, at Cajun Field

4 p.m.: Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns vs. New Mexico State Aggies at Cajun Field
