Registration open for Lafayette schools
LAFAYETTE — Registration is open for Lafayette Parish public school students who will be attending a new school this fall.
School system officials advised parents to register their children now at their new school rather than waiting for the first day of classes on Aug. 15.
Registration is necessary for those students who may have moved during the summer or were recently accepted to a school of choice, and for students coming into the school system from a private school or home-school setting.
Elementary and middle school students who are advancing to their regularly zoned middle school or high school do not need to register.
For more information about required records for registration or other questions, call your school.
