Lafayette High (21-8, 9-3) closed out its regular season with a 9-0 District 3-5A road victory Wednesday over New Iberia.

Three pitchers combined on a no-hitter with starter Joseph Battaglia and relievers Adam Arnold and LSU commitment Miguel Reyes Jr. coming within a fourth-inning walk of a perfect game.

Battaglia (5-0) struck out five over three innings, while Arnold and Reyes each threw two innings.

Lafayette, which piled up 10 hits, was led by Cain Castille’s 2-for-4 effort.

Reyes drove in a pair of runs during a four-run, third inning that made it 6-0.
