FRANKLINTON — The Franklinton Demons scored four third-quarter touchdowns en route to a 36-14 victory over the Rayne Wolves in a regional-round Class 4A game at Franklinton.
Franklinton (11-1) will be home against Landry-Walker next week in the quarterfinals.
Rayne finished its season 9-3.
Franklinton gained 253 of its 386 yards in the decisive third quarter.
Franklinton led 8-0 at halftime. The Wolves had a 15:08 to 8:52 advantage in time of possession in the first half.
On the first play from scrimmage in the second half, Azende Magee took a speed sweep 60 yards for a touchdown. Connor Ackerman added the extra point to increase the Demons’ lead to 15-0.
Rayne responded with a seven-play, 65-yard scoring drive. John Besse caught a 6-yard touchdown pass from Jaylon Reed. Ben Alvarez added the extra point to cut the Demons lead to 15-7 with 8:44 left in the third quarter.
Renaz Wilson scored on a 12- yard touchdown run to give Franklinton a 22-7 lead 7:07 to go in the third quarter. Magee had a 4-yard run, and Wilson scored from 2 yards with 30 seconds to go in the third to increase the lead to 36-7.
The Demons were led by Wilson who had 166 yards on 18 carries.
Class 3A nonselect
LIVONIA 27, MANSFIELD 0: Guy Mistretta told his Livonia Wildcats he would not accept a repeat performance of its first-round playoff game.
His players apparently took his word.
Top-seeded Livonia avoided last week’s slow start and swung through the gate early to shut out 16th-seeded Mansfield in the regional playoffs.
Senior wide receiver Stephan Guidry scored two touchdowns in the first half off passes from junior quarterback Cee Jay Powell, while Malcolm Dedrick punched in both scores in the second half.
Powell completed 9 of 13 passes for 134 yards, while Guidry took four passes for 64 yards. Dedrick tallied 123 yards on 20 carries to lead the Wildcats ground game.

MADISON PREP 28, VERMILION CATHOLIC 14: Madison Prep forced six turnovers and eliminated reigning state champion Vermilion Catholic in the quarterfinal round at Glen Oaks.
No. 9 Madison Prep (8-4) scored 14 points in the third quarter to break open a game that was tied at 14 at halftime.
Madison Prep’s Brian Savoie had two fourth-quarter interceptions to stop top-seeded VCHS (10-2). Teammate Braylen Bolden had a 44-yard interception return to start the scoring with 7:31 remaining in the first quarter.
ST. MARY’S 55, ST. EDMUND 34: In Natchitoches, the two teams compiled a combined total of more than 900 yards of offense.
No. 2 St. Mary (11-1) held a comfortable lead the entire contest — partly thanks to the efforts of Hunter Bedgood, who rushed 298 yards and four TDs.
Garret Vienne added TDs on a 5-yard and 14-yard run for the BlueJays while Sam Simmons connected with Tyler McCain for an 8-yard score.
For No. 7 St. Edmund (7-4), Drew Brown completed 18 of 30 passes for 373 yards and five TDs. Drew Brown connected with Cullen Brown on three of those TDs. Cullen Brown finished with 218 yards on seven catches.
St. Mary will take on No. 6 Ouachita Christian in the semifinals.
