Caddo Parish schools get reprieve, will not receive playoff bans _lowres


LAKE CHARLES – Third-seeded Lafayette Christian erased a four-point halftime deficit by scoring 48 second-half points en route to a 72-59 victory on No. 2 Arcadia in a Class 1A semifinal played Wednesday afternoon at the Allstate Sugar Bowl/LHSAA Boys Top 28 tournament.

Kalob LeDoux made 11 of 16 shots from the floor and scored a game-high 30 points for the Knights (27-3), who advance to play top-seeded Madison Prep (34-1) in 1A title game set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Burton Coliseum.

Jacob LeDoux added 16 and Greg Williams contributed 13 for LCA, which will make its first title-game appearance. Eric Brown Jr. led Arcadiua (25-5) with 15 points. Anthony Boston Jr. (13) and Danquraian Fields (10) also scored in double figures for the Hornets.
