Wayne Graham’s success at Rice has come largely because of stalwart pitching, and 2014 is no different. His Owls rank 21st in the country in strikeout-to-walk ratio and have a team ERA of 3.22. … Closer Matt Ditman leads a deep bullpen with 10 saves in 28 appearances. Kevin McCanna is the Owls’ top starter with a 3.05 ERA in 79.2 innings ... Though the Owls hit an even .300, they have only 16 home runs and 81 doubles. Rice is 8-7 in 15 one-run contests.
