Auburn 2B Emily Carosone

Carosone fueled the fire for a potent Auburn offensive attack, hitting .466 with 17 homers and 77 RBIs. The All-American is probably eager to have a solid showing in the super regional, after she was limited to a 2-for-10 performance during the Tigers’ three-game regional sweep.

Auburn SP Rachael Walters

Pitching wasn’t the Tigers’ strong suit for much of the season, but it’s been coming on lately. Walters is the most prominent of three pitchers the Cajuns are likely to see this weekend. She led the team with 42 appearances and she went 18-3 with a 2.88 ERA.

UL-Lafayette 2B Haley Hayden

Hayden has cooled considerably in May, with her average dropping 39 points since the first of the month to its current .360. But she’s still lethal at the top of the Cajuns order, and she’s been showing signs of heating up with three homers in her past seven games.

Cajuns SP Christina Hamilton

This hasn’t quite been the storybook season she had last year, but Hamilton has still been strong after needing the early part of the season to get back to full strength. The Cajuns will need her to be on her game against Auburn’s stacked lineup.

One thing to watch out for: Hamilton’s given up a team-high 15 homers, and the Tigers hit a lot of them.
