LAFAYETTE -- Louisiana-Lafayette’s women’s basketball team had four regulars sidelined with injuries Wednesday night, and their absence and the shortage of depth was badly felt by the Ragin’ Cajuns.

Dillard’s Blue Devils outscored the Cajuns 23-11 in the fourth quarter to escape the Cajundome with a 60-53 victory, thanks in part to hot three-point shooting and the struggles of the Cajun backcourt.

The Devils hit eight-of-18 shots from three-point range, four of those treys coming in the first quarter, and Dillard also hit on eight of its final 12 shots in the game in the final period. The Cajuns (1-3) only shot 33.8 percent from the floor and finished four-of-25 outside the arc.

Alyssa Washington had 15 points including three three-pointers to lead Dillard, with the game officially an exhibition contest for the Blue Devils. Jaiylan Brown added 14 and Asia Partlow 12.

Malachi Seraphin-Williams led UL-Lafayette with 14 points and Kimberly Burton had 10 to go with a game-high 10 rebounds. The Cajuns were playing without their top three point guards, with Jasmine Thomas (knee), Troi Swain (ankle) and Skyler Goodwin (concussion) all injured. UL-Lafayette finished the game with 20 turnovers including 13 in the first half and five in the final quarter.
