UL-Lafayette: Terrance Broadway
By the numbers: 2,068 yards, 12 TDs passing; 646 yards, 3 TDs rushing
The skinny: The senior has had his worst statistical season as a starter, but his experience can’t be taken for granted. Broadway has directed the Cajuns to two straight bowl wins, and he’s the unquestioned leader of the team.
Nevada: Cody Fajardo
By the numbers: 2,374 yards, 18 TDs, 11 INTs passing; 997 yards, 13 TDs rushing
The skinny: The senior is as productive as they come both through the air and on the ground, and he should find some room to create against a Cajuns defense that has struggled at times this season.
In a game that figures to have plenty of scoring, quarterback play may be the deciding factor. Both can make plays with their arms and their legs, but if it comes down to a team needing its QB to make something happen, Nevada has the edge.
