LAFAYETTE — Louisiana-Lafayette wide receiver Jamal Robinson has received a fifth year of eligibility from the NCAA through a medical hardship waiver.

Robinson tweeted the news Tuesday. The school has not sent out a confirmation.

The 6-foot-4, 205-pound senior from Slidell injured his meniscus in the game against Louisiana Tech on Sept. 6, but then injured his foot against Texas State that sidelined him for the rest of the season.

In three games, Robinson caught 15 passes for 260 yards and four touchdowns. He had two touchdowns in games against Southern and Georgia State.

Robinson ranks in the top five in school history with 15 touchdowns and 1,829 receiving yards.
