Six current and future members of the LSU track and field program will look to earn their spot on Team USA competing at the IAAF World Junior Championships in Eugene, Oregon, for the USA Junior Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday and Sunday.

The top two finishers in each event will earn the right to represent the United States at the IAAF World Junior Championships, which will also be held at Oregon’s Hayward Field on July 22-27.

Four Lady Tigers freshmen are entered: Nataliyah Friar (long jump), Jada Martin (100 meters, 200 meters), Bryiana Richardson (400 hurdles) and Rebekah Wales (javelin) will compete this weekend.

Two members of the Lady Tigers’ recruiting Class of 2014 will also be competing, with hurdler Kymber Payne joining Richardson in the 400-meter hurdles and Sidnie Wilder competing in the hammer throw.
