Oxford Alloys, a Baton Rouge-based welding supplier, has won the President’s “E Star” Award for Exports, an award for significant contributions to the expansion of U.S. exports.
Oxford Alloys President and Chief Executive Officer Mark Ashworth was presented the award by U.S. Commerce Department of Commerce Secretary John Bryson during a May 17 ceremony at the White House.
“International sales and brand development in foreign markets continues to be a major driver of our sales growth, and we are honored to receive the “E Star” Award,” Ashworth said in a news release. “With 95 percent of the world’s consumers living outside the USA we believe the arduous task of penetrating foreign markets is paramount to the future success of U.S. companies.”
Oxford Alloys supplies corrosion-resistant welding supplies to customers in the oil and gas, power generation, food processing, petro chemical, and broad industrial markets. The Company also has locations in Chicago and Houston, and recently opened a Singapore office.
