The Louisiana Workforce Commission will hold a conference on the state’s green economy, including topics such as how green business activities are shaping the regional economy, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Sept. 16 at the Crowne Plaza, 4728 Constitution Ave.

The Baton Rouge conference is one of four the Workforce Commission has scheduled throughout the state. The Growing Green conferences will include discussions of emerging green industries’ impact on job growth and demand; how to find green training programs and job opportunities; and presentations from employers in green businesses.

The conferences are free and open to the public. Those interested in attending are encouraged to register at http://www.laworks.net/green.

The Lafayette/Lake Charles conference is set for Sept. 21 at the Holiday Inn Lafayette.
