The Baton Rouge Blues Festival moves to a new location this year and a slightly earlier date. The festival takes place Saturday, April 14, in downtown’s newly completed public space, North Boulevard Town Square.

The event features music starting within every hour from 11:30 a.m. through 6:30 p.m.

Festival headliner Johnny Winter is a veteran blues-rock star who entered the national scene in the late 1960s. The singer and guitar virtuoso’s early high-profile gigs included a set at the Woodstock Music and Art Fair.
