A man who reportedly raped a woman with a weapon pointed in her back 13 years ago in Baton Rouge has been arrested, according to an arrest warrant.
Glen Sparks, 49, 1630 Prison Road, Cottonport, was booked with aggravated rape Tuesday by Baton Rouge Police, Parish Prison records show.
Sparks is currently in the Avoyelles Parish Correctional Center in Cottonport in an unrelated sexual assault case, according to the warrant.
DNA taken from the scene matched DNA from Sparks leading to the arrest, the warrant says.
According to the warrant, the victim was sexually assaulted on June 16, 1998 at a home in Baton Rouge after Sparks put a rug from the floor over the victim’s head, pointed a sharp weapon in her back and raped her.
