The Louisiana High School Athletic Association announced Tuesday that Assistant Director Rhonda Dreibelbis will resign at the end of the school term.
Dreibelbis said she plans to relocate to North Carolina to be with her husband, who is an assistant commissioner with the North Carolina High School Athletic Association.
“I want to thank LHSAA Executive Director Kenneth Henderson and the members of the Executive Committee who approved my hire in 2007,” said Dreibelbis, in a statement released from the LHSAA. “I will always be grateful to each of them for giving me the opportunity to work for the LHSAA; the experience and knowledge that I have gained will serve as the foundation for my future endeavors.”
Dreibelbis started her career as the first female to hold an administrative position with the LHSAA in 2007.
Dreibelbis oversees volleyball, boys and girls basketball, bowling and softball in the LHSAA, manages the Title IV compliance program, the nonfaculty certification program, the Louisiana High School Coaches Association, the LHSCA Summer Coaching Clinic and the volleyball, basketball and softball all-star games.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Rhonda for the past several years,” Henderson said in a statement. “She is very conscientious and a hard worker; it will be difficult to replace her. She will be missed.”
