Baton Rouge police are investigating three separate shootings that occurred within a two-hour period late Thursday night and early Friday morning, according to news releases.
The Police Department news releases give the following accounts of the incidents:
Police received the first call reporting shots fired at 11:24 p.m. Thursday in the 3700 block of East Brookstown Drive.
When they arrived, police found a man who had been shot multiple times. He was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Then at 1:17 a.m. Friday, police went out to 3407 Shelly St. to investigate a shooting.
A man had been shot multiple times on Shelly Street. The victim was taken to a hospital also with life-threatening injuries.
Eleven minutes later at 1:28 a.m., an officer was flagged down by a man at the corner of Prescott Road and North Foster Drive. The man reported an armed robbery and shooting.
Another man was shot during the robbery at the Super Stop Store in the 4100 block of North Foster Drive. The victim, with serious or possible life threatening injuries, was taken to a hospital for treatment.
There are no known motives for the first two shootings, police said.
