Co-host of NPR’s popular news quiz show “Wait, Wait ... Don’t Tell Me!,” Carl Kasell, will speak at 7 p.m. Monday at LSU’s Manship School of Mass Communication.
The event in the Journalism Building is sponsored by the school’s Reilly Center for Media & Public Affairs and WRKF.
Because of the great demand for seats, reservations are required.
For 30 years, Kasell anchored newscasts for NPR’s daily newsmagazine “Morning Edition,” a role he held from the program’s inception in 1979 until 2009. A veteran broadcaster, Kasell’s radio career spans more than 50 years. “Wait Wait ... Don’t Tell Me!” premiered in January 1998, and instantly became one of NPR’s most popular programs.
