The National Center for Biomedical Research and Training and the Extension Disaster Education Network, both based at LSU, have announced a new partnership to improve communities’ disaster preparation, relief and recovery.

The Extension network includes more than 70 universities and pulls together the expertise of Cooperative Extension Service specialists to help homeowners, business owners and farmers reduce the impact of disasters.

The National Center is part of the Stephenson National Center for Security Research and Training at LSU. The center helps train emergency responders.
