A New York investment firm has taken a second dip into the LSU student housing market with the purchase of Aspen Heights - Baton Rouge, a 105-unit, gated apartment complex at LSU.

The complex was recently acquired by Kayne Anderson Real Estate Advisors, the private equity real estate arm of Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors. In October, Kayne Anderson Real Estate acquired the Cottages of Baton Rouge, a 392-unit student housing complex on Ben Hur Road.

Kayne Anderson did not disclose the purchase prices.

These purchases bring KAREA’s student housing portfolio to a total of 20,598 beds and 6,968 units. KAREA’s portfolio also contains 221 conventional multifamily units and 15,095 self-storage units
