William Arceneaux, president of the Council for the Development of French in Louisiana, will address the Baton Rouge Press Club at noon Monday.
Arceneaux will discuss Act 679 of 2010, which radically altered the composition and mission of CODOFIL. He also will talk about several new initiatives put in place this year to further the cause of promoting and defending the French language in our state.
Press Club meets on Mondays at De La Ronde Hall, 320 Third St., downtown. Lunch, which is served at 11:30 a.m., is $12 for members and $15 for non-members. The public is invited, but only members of the Press Club and members of the news media are allowed to ask questions during the question-and-answer portion of the program.
