The events will kick off at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with the first day of LSU’s Study Abroad Fair in the LSU Union’s Royal Cotillion Ballroom. The Study Abroad Fair offers students, parents, staff and faculty members the opportunity to explore all programs LSU has to offer. Students, staff and faculty members can also get a snapshot with famous Germans at the fair.
That evening, the acapella singing group Vocaldente will hold a concert in the School of Music’s recital hall at 7:30 p.m. Vocaldente is an internationally acclaimed acapella group from Germany. Their performances in both English and German have won several prices. The concert is free and open to the public, and Vocaldente will conduct a preview performance during the Study Abroad Fair.
Wednesday will feature day two of the Study Abroad Fair, and the German Club at LSU will host a special game night in Prescott Hall’s Foreign Language Lab in Room 234. The evening will feature games and activities with no language skills required.
On Thursday, the International Cultural Center at LSU will host a showing of the Academy Award-winning film “The Lives of Others,” at 7 p.m. The 2006 Oscar winner for Best Foreign Film, “The Lives of Others” tells the story of life under the socialist dictatorship in the former East German Republic.
