Police are investigating the shootings of two men early Thursday morning in the parking lot of a daiquiri shop on North Sherwood Forest Boulevard, according to a Baton Rouge Police Department news release.

Police were called out to the 1300 block of North Sherwood Forest Boulevard at 1:47 a.m. to investigate a report of a man who had been shot and was lying in the road, the release says.

When officers arrived, they found a 24-year-old man who had been shot multiple times in the leg. He was suffering from life-threatening injuries.

A second victim, another 24-year-old man, was shot once in the head on East Black Oak Drive, according to the release. The second victim’s injuries were not life threatening.

During an investigation, detectives discovered both men were shot in the parking lot of Sherwood Forest Daiquiri at 1654 North Sherwood Forest Boulevard.

Other details about the shooting were unavailable Thursday morning. The shootings are under investigation.
