Three new trolleys will debut Monday to service the downtown Baton Rouge area, according to a Downtown Development District news release.

The trolley service, run by Capital Area Transit Service, is free.

Within three months, the trolleys will feature GPS capability where trolley movement can be tracked via smart phone or computer.

The trolleys run from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

There is an approximate eight minute waiting period in between trolleys.
