The LSU Student Union Art Advisory Committee is pleased to announce its upcoming exhibit, “Baton Rouge Collectors,” featuring selected artwork from the personal collections of Baton Rouge residents.

“Baton Rouge Collectors” will be on display from March 18 through April 15 in the LSU Student Union Art Gallery, with an opening reception from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on March 18 in the gallery, according to an LSU news release.

All Student Union Art Gallery exhibits are free and open to the public.

Featured artwork includes selections from the collections of the following Baton Rouge residents: Michael Robinson and Donald Boutté, Susie and Carl Blyskal, Chet and Janie Coles, Becky and Warren Gottsegen, and Winifred and Kevin Reilly. The pieces range from decorative objects to contemporary art including paintings, photographs, sculptures and other collectable items. The exhibit demonstrates individual collectors’ tastes, as well as the diversity of art collections in the Baton Rouge area.

The Student Union Art Gallery is also featuring, for the first time in its history, a documentary to complement the exhibit. The Digital Art and Design Association, or DigitalADA, and the LSU School of Art produced the documentary, which will premiere at the opening reception at 3 p.m. on March 18.
