Several downtown streets will be closed at times Wednesday as the TV drama “Breakout Kings” begins filming in Baton Rouge, according to a city-parish news release.
Throughout the day, a lane will be closed on Convention Street between 3rd and Lafayette streets, but traffic will be allowed on the remaining open lane.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., there will be intermittent closures on 3rd Street between Florida and Convention streets.
From 2:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m., the section of Florida Street between 3rd and 4th streets will be subject to intermittent closures, along with a possible one-lane closure during off-peak periods.
And from 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., there will be intermittent closures in the 1000 block of North 3rd Street at State Capital Avenue.
The show, which is produced by Fox and airs on A&E, is scheduled to continue filming in Baton Rouge through early 2012.
As part of the filming, Baton Rouge residents can expect a number of stunts, special effects, and chase sequences in the months to come.
“Breakout Kings” will be based at Celtic Media Centre, where they will be using soundstages and offices.
