Walking up to the tall red brick Georgian at 9035 Rue Felicity Court is like stepping back in time to Colonial Williamsburg. You might not see horse-drawn carriages pulling up to the front of the home, but once inside you’ll find large stately rooms floored in pine and brick. The home stands on an oversized triangular lot at the intersection of Rue Felicity Court and Bluebonnet Road.

A long straight sidewalk made of the same red bricks leads to a single front door with reproduction hardware. In the foyer are a custom staircase to the second floor, a powder room and entrances to the formal study (or parlor) to the right, and the formal dining room to the left. The cozy study has a wall of built-in bookcases and three wood windows.

A cased entry leads to the family room, a wide open space large enough for two separate sitting areas and three sets of French doors to a brick rear patio. The large fireplace at one end of the family room has an ornate mantle and a surround of marble tile. Way on the other end of this room, a separate sitting area has another cased and fluted entry into the kitchen and breakfast area.

The kitchen, floored in brick, is surprisingly large and has surprising amenities. The modern kitchen has everything you’d expect and more as the result of a remodel that also added the new master bath. There’s a large granite island that is home to a 6-burner Viking cook top, a stainless vegetable sink and an icemaker. A stainless double undermount sink is below tumbled stone backsplashes and two wood windows. Next to the sink is a Bosch dishwasher, paneled to perfectly match the painted cabinetry. On another wall, there is a double oven setup and a pair of wine refrigerators, and on the next wall is a built-in hutch with glass-front cabinetry. The breakfast area is nearby, with French doors to the brick patio, and the laundry room is next to a side entrance. A swinging door leads back around to the formal dining room, which has a crystal chandelier and more French doors to a small side deck.

On the opposite end of the home, the large master wing has been completely renovated. The bedroom is just down a short cherry wood hallway, past what was formerly the master bath. Today, that room makes a great nursery or master study. The bedroom alone is nearly 19x19 feet, and the marble bath is a new addition, according to Betty Whitt, the Burns & Co. agent marketing the home. The new bath is floored in travertine tile with marble inlays that match the slabs on the vanities. The layout has the two vanities separated by cherry cabinetry and a deep whirlpool tub at the end of the room near a marble makeup desk. Marble slabs also surround the tub. On the other end of the tub is an open shower with a water source in the wall, a rain head in the ceiling and a handheld unit. The massive master closet is also an addition, and has four built-in dressers and lots of hanging space and shelving.

Upstairs, bedrooms No. 2 and 3 share a Hollywood bath, while No. 4 has its own full bath. The private back yard has plenty of room for a pool, and the two-car carport adjoins a workshop with plumbing.
