Louisiana Progress and the National Association of Social Workers will host a bus tour from New Orleans to Pineville Saturday to focus on the impact of Louisiana’s health-care crisis on residents by visiting some of the institutions and communities targeted by cuts to LSU hospitals and services funded by Medicaid, according to a news release.

Community leaders, families using health services, elected officials, nuns and clergy members will be on the bus to encourage leaders to focus on the real impact on families in Louisiana.

The bus will stop at LSU’s Earl K. Long Medical Center at 2 p.m.
