LSU, Pennington Biomedical Research Center and other organizations will hold a workshop each Wednesday from Oct. 5 to Nov. 9 to help university researchers turn their ideas into business opportunities.
The Start-Up Boot Camp for University Researchers and Inventors will be held in Room 205 of the Louisiana Emerging Technology Center, behind Parker Coliseum on the LSU campus. The webinar series is the result of a collaboration between LSU’s Office of Intellectual Property, Commercialization & Development, Pennington Biomedical, LSU AgCenter, the Louisiana Emerging Technology Center, and the Louisiana Business and Technology Center.
“Leveraging discoveries from the lab into commercialization is a new challenge for many researchers,” Pete Kelleher, vice chancellor of intellectual property, said in a news release. “This boot camp allows LSU and its partners to guide faculty through the process and help them to realize their inventions’ full potential.”
The boot camp is free, but registration is required. To reserve a place in the program, contact Shanna Rutland at LSU’s OIP with your name and the session number you would like to attend at email@example.com.
