LSU will host an oil spill professional development program for educators Jan. 28 to provide teachers with the latest information on the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, according to a news release.

The three-hour session starts at 9 a.m. and ends at noon with sign in at 8:30 a.m.

Topics include toxicity, biodegradation of oil, the spill's impact on birds, seafood safety and oil pollution.
