American Red Cross volunteers helped 15 adults and eight children affected by three blazes Thanksgiving night in the Capital Area, according to a press release from the American Red Cross.

Based on individual needs, the Red Cross is providing temporary housing, food, clothing, shoes, comfort kits and stuffed animals for the children, as well as referrals to the Salvation Army, Greater Baton Rouge Area Food Bank and St. Vincent de Paul.

The fires occurred at:

• 12744 Greenwell Springs Road about 10 p.m.: Three adults and two children assisted.

• 1036 Manson Drive about 10:30 p.m.: 11 adults and six children in three apartment units.

• 7108 Greenwell Springs Road about 3 a.m.: One adult.
