A Central firefighter was treated for a heat exhaustion Wednesday morning following a battle with a house fire on Devall Road, according to a Central Fire Department news release.

The call reporting the blaze came in at 2:29 a.m., the release says.

When Central firefighters arrived, the house, at 13605 Devall Road, was fully engulfed.

None of the residents were injured, the release says. The firefighter suffering from heat exhaustion was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The cause of the fire, which resulted in an estimated $80,000 in damage, remains under investigation, the release says.
