Americans United for Separation of Church and State is sponsoring the Voices United Concert in Baton Rouge on Thursday, Sept. 27 at the North Boulevard Town Square downtown, according to a news release.
The event begins at 6 p.m.
The concert will feature the In Harmony Jazz Quartet and singer Ernest Jackson as well as various speakers who will talk about the constitutional principle of church and state separation.
From Sept. 27 through Oct. 1, the group will hold more than 50 concerts, along with additional live events in major cities.
The Voices United Concert series will conclude with a grand finale concert in Los Angeles featuring nationally-known talents Sarah Silverman, Russell Brand, Mary Gauthier and Catie Curtis.
A $10 donation is suggested but not required.
