LAFAYETTE–The final of six organized forums for public discussion on the Lafayette Parish School Board’s superintendent search will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at Comeaux High School.

The small group discussions on desired superintendent qualities and district priorities will be used by the School Board to develop interview questions for job candidates.

Those who cannot attend may respond to an online survey available at: http://www.lpssonline.com/superintendentsurvey.

The application period for the job closed on Sept. 12 with 32 applications received. The School Board will interview its top 10 choices next month and a new superintendent could be selected in December.

Current superintendent Burnell Lemoine plans to retire at the end of the year when his contract expires.
