BREC board members will begin interviewing six finalists to replace East Baton Rouge Recreation and Park Superintendent Bill Palmer Monday afternoon.

The candidates who made the list of six finalists include park and recreation managers from Baton Rouge, Lafayette, San Antonio, Dallas, Wyomissing, Pa., and Montclair, Va.

Board members hope to have a decision at the board’s meeting on Oct. 27.

Three of the six finalists are scheduled to be interviewed by the BREC board starting at 5:30 p.m. Monday.

The other three are scheduled for interviews starting at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

The interviews, which will be held at BREC’s headquarters at 6201 Florida Blvd., are open to the public.
