Fishing is an important part of Louisiana’s diverse culture. The act of fishing is more than simply capturing the delicacies of the area. Fishing bonds families and creates unforgettable moments with friends. In this video, Brian Heimann, a biologist supervisor with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, gives an inside look at fishing and lists some of the best spots for bank-fishing in Baton Rouge and surrounding areas.
